The
community of the Stella Maris College responds to Jesus Christ in the present
appeal made by the Catholic Church from the charisma of the founder of the
Congregation of the Christian Brothers, Blessed Edmund Rice. Its mission
involves:
- Educating girls, boys and youths so that they are
able to develop as individuals capable of relating harmoniously to themselves,
to others, God and the world.
- Fostering commitment among its students, encouraging
them to become protagonists in the construction of a society that lives
up evangelical values.
- Aiming at quality education, as well as the promotion
of fraternal attitudes of peace and solidarity.
All
the above takes place in an environment of creativity and responsible
freedom.

the mission of evangelizing young people and especially that of educating
and caring for the needy." |
| The Christian Brothers Chapter # 24 |
The main aim of our
school is to evangelize our students, staff and the community, which involves
bringing Jesus' message to our life and culture.
We are committed to the following values:
- Respect: respect for the student's dignity, their
environment, traditions and beliefs, appreciating each student's potential
and encouraging the strong ones to come in support of the weaker ones.
- Self-esteem and creativity: developing in the
student their self-esteem and fostering a collaborative and creative
spirit towards their fellow students
- Academic achievement: preparing the students for
the achievement of their academic and professional goals so that they
can find and fulfill their vocation in life.
- Catechetic: offer our youngsters the opportunity
to sense God in the beauty of his creation, in the cult and service
to others.
- Critical spirit: develop in the students a critical
mind which will enable them to challenge the forces that pose a threat
to humankind.
- Discipline: promote an atmosphere of discipline so that students
will grow up in freedom assuming responsibility over their own education.
