As well as in other
areas of the school, in Primary school the educational approach follows
the philosophical and religious values of the Congregation.
Primary school features
an extended educational timetable from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm from Monday to
Friday covering the official Uruguayan curriculum. The teaching of English
as a Second Language takes up 50% of the timetable. In addition, pupils
receive :
- 4 hours a week of Catechetic.
- 1 hour a week of physical education.
- 1 further hour of sports (games) .
- Take part in information technology.
- Arts workshops.
- Children's library.
Tareas complementarias:
- Athletics, football, rugby and hockey
- Psychological support.
- Workshops for parents.
English
At the end of
primary school (Year 6) our pupils take the Trinity College Examination
in Spoken English at a range of grades according to their level of competence.
 Premises
and facilities:
- 12 primary classrooms.
- 3 pre-school classrooms.
- well-equipped, updated information technology laboratory.
- arts and reading rooms.
- gymnasium and changing rooms.
- dining room supervised by a nutritionist.
- spacious playground and three hectares of playing
fields which are part of the school premises.
We are an approved,
authorized school and we regularly undergo inspection by the National
Primary Education Board (Inspección Nacional de Educación
Primaria).
