Introduction
Once children get in Kinder 3 at Stella Maris College, they are immersed in the second language with the objective of starting to feel from the very beginning, enjoyment and love for the language that will offer them another efficient way to communicate in their future life.

Aims

• Use the second language with appropriateness in varied situations either oral or written.
• Use and study English varied literature as a way of going further in enriching and expanding the language towards more ambitious learning.
• Internalise learning integrating the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing receiving each of them the same weight.

How?

• Having fully qualified teachers who take part in up dated training seminars, courses, talks or tailor-made workshops.
• Having variety of English exposure through story telling, videos, books, plays, songs, rhymes or poems.
• Having our students realise and be aware of their permanent learning process, their literacy , peer influence , research work , promptness, fluency and accuracy awareness.
• Backing up students who have special needs with personalised training.

*Stella Maris Spoken English Exam.
*International Trinity Exam.

Important note
In order to promote, the Stella Maris Primary student should achieve the minimum required objectives assigned for each course, taking each of the above mentioned skills into account.
Both languages, mother tongue and the second language are simultaneously required to achieve a promotion.
